Suspense: "The Witness on the Westbound Train"

We're thrilled to present a lost episode from Suspense's earliest days: "The Witness on the West-Bound Train." Suspense is one of the masterpieces of classic radio drama partly because so many recordings survived from its 20 year run. Fewer than a dozen episodes have no original or recreated audio. This, the fifth-ever Suspense show from July 15 1942, is one of those. It's still a fascinating listen to hear the embryonic version of the beloved show to come. Welcome to a murder mystery that takes place onboard a speeding transcontinental train - a cousin to "Murder on the Orient Express" with two detectives instead of one Hercule Poirot. Whodunnit? We promise to keep you in…Suspense!
